COMMUNITY POST

Mary Liu had recently joined Thistle Underwriting Services, a division of Jardine Lloyd Thompson of Canada Inc., as the Vice President of Underwriting. (www.thistlecanada.com)

Changes in the Board

Because of busy business and personal schedules, there were a few changes in the Board of Directors. Mr. Anthony Chan had resigned as the President of CCIPA in the 2011 AGM held in June and remains as the Immediate Past President. Mr. Leon Jackson and Mr. Stephen Lui had resigned as directors and remain as significant members of CCIPA.

Ms. Susan Cheung had taken over as President, Mr. David Cheng as the 2nd Vice President, Ms. Jing Cheng and Mr. Mark Luo had joined the Board as Treasurer and director respectively.

‘Hello, I am Jing Cheng, very happy to be part of this organization. As a certified accountant, I promise I will exercise my professional judgement and due care in carrying out all my responsibilities as the Treasurer. Looking forward to meeting each of you in the upcoming exciting CCIPA events. Cheers!’

Jing Cheng, Treasurer

‘Hi. This is Mark Luo. I have been lucky enough to join the Board as one of the new directors this year. I am enlightened by the spirit and dynamics of our Association and am looking forward to working with all of you to promote our Association and to cultivate self-confidence, friendship, loyalty, networking and reward among ourselves.

If you have joined one of our badminton sections, you might have known me as the one who swaps from group to group. Please don’t forget to sign up for our September sections and I look forward to seeing you all. By the way, if by any chance you are a scuba diver like me, we might have lots of interesting experience to share......Striving for excellence !.’

Mark Luo, Director

Membership Renewal

Time flies.

It is now the time to renew your membership which is expiring in May.

We enclose a membership renewal form for your completion. Please return us together with your cheque to signify your support of CCIPA and our community.

As in prior years, we have experienced returned mail because of address change etc.

So, if there is any address change during the year, please notify our hard-working Mr. Edmond Wong at mredmondwong@yahoo.com. It would be extremely difficult for Edmond to track you down to deliver our quarterly newsletter to you. Thanks very much for his effort and patience.

We would very much appreciate your help and continual support.
