President Message

Dear Fellow Members,

One year has lapsed since I was elected as the President of the Association. As presented to the Members at our recent Annual General Meeting, the following is a synopsis of what our Association has done during the past year:

We had 8 Board meetings being held during the last term – thanks to all our directors who have graciously volunteered their time and efforts in the smooth running of the Association with a current membership of 138.

3 RIBO Accredited seminars including the recent one held prior to the AGM on the new Automobile Reform in which a record of over 50 members have attended this seminar. Also, as a benefit to our members, we have made a Chinese translation on the summary of Changes as well as the Draft benefits selection form for customers, so as to facilitate our members when explaining those changes and selection to our Chinese speaking customers. Special thanks to Jing Li, our Vice President, who has spent so much time in translating the summary and letter from English to Chinese….!

We have also held our usual Golf Tournament, Woodbine Race Track, Chinese New Year Dinner, as well as our Christmas Ball during the last year’s term.

In addition to the above functions, CCIPA is also proud to be a Corporate member of CAA in which special discount will be offered to our members who will join CAA for the first time.

We have also cooperated with Advocis who offer special discount to CCIPA members who wants to take the Life Licence Qualification Examination (LLQP and Practice Exam).

As mentioned before, CCIPA also participated with over 200 other organizations in the Haiti Earthquake Relief, a demonstration that CCIPA is not just an insurance association, we do care about our community too!

Furthermore, we also do care about the health of our members and therefore, CCIPA has negotiated with a local badminton club to allow our members to play badminton on a regular basis, once a week. For further details, please look at the Badminton game details announced separately in the newsletter.

All-in-all, none of the above event or function can be made possible without the dedicated contributions of all the hardworking directors and of course, the unfailing support from all our Members.

I really look forward to your continuing support and participation in our future CCIPA functions – the Golf Tournament in August and our Woodbine Race Track in September are just around the corner!
